About the Association

The Association of Chagas Carriers of São Paulo (ACHAGRASP) is one of the Brazilian associations that represent the International Federation of Associations of People Affected by Chagas disease (FINDECHAGAS). The Association was founded in 1999 by patients of the Dante Pazzanese Institute of Cardiology, a reference for Chagas disease in São Paulo. The Association has no headquarters; patients meet at the Dante Pazzanese Institute once a month to talk, fraternize, and present their questions on the disease and its processes.

Once a year, always in November, the Association organizes a lecture attended by patients, family members and health professionals, under the direction of doctor Abilio Augusto Fragata Filho.
